Hey everyone, today I’m doing something a little different; I’ve never done a wish list before. Usually when I really want to try something, I buy it. Testing skincare is a top priority for me so unless it’s a ridiculously expensive item, I don’t struggle to justify it to myself. However, I’m trying to cut down.
I’m not on a no-buy (I know I’d never stick to that) but I’m trying to stick to things I actually need or stuff I’m beyond excited about. Since rearranging my beauty storage at the beginning of the year, I realised I have a lot of stuff I really like but I don’t reach for that often, so I’m trying to get through some of the stuff I’ve got. With that in mind, these are a few of the things on my radar that I just can’t justify right now. Some are new launches, others have been around a while, but I’ve only just realised I need in my life.
Cover FX Custom Infusion Drops

These have been around a while, and I got given a sample quite a long time ago now, but I was never that interested. Things have changed. As many of you will know by now, I have dry skin. Most of you won’t know that I really like matte foundations. Obviously, this isn’t the ideal combination in winter. There are very few moisturising finish foundations that I like and due to skin sensitivity I struggle using heavier products on a morning. My skin is more sensitive in the am for some reason.
As a result, these drops have been looking more appealing. I like the idea of my foundation formula being roughly the same but being able to offer a little more moisture.
REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic

From the oldest to the newest. So new in fact that this hasn’t even technically launched yet. You can however join the waitlist ready for its launch next month. This stuff is similar to the Pixi Glow Tonic, only it uses lactic acid which my skin prefers. And one of my other favourite exfoliation products is also by REN so I have high hopes for this one. Out of all the items in this post, I can see myself being most likely to crack with this one.
Farmacy Green Clean

I’ve had my eye on this for a few months now, but I certainly don’t need more cleansers. And I have a very hard time separating myself from my Emma Hardie one anyway. But if I were to cheat on Emma, I think this would be the one. Farmacy is becoming quite a popular brand online and I’ve seen a few people raving about this product now. I’m got a mild case of FOMO.
Skyn Iceland Arctic Hydration Rubberizing Mask with Vitamin C

This is once again, FOMO. I don’t need these. But I’ve spoken about my love for the Skyn Iceland eye gels before and honestly, I now want to try every mask they offer. Between the vitamin C, the oils and the hyaluronic acid in these, they sound perfect for boosting your complexion at this time of year. Again, totally unessential, but I want them.
That’s it for now! It isn’t much, but these are the things that I’ve been sneaking in my basket and removing at the last minute. Or the things that I try to tell myself I do actually need (the Cover FX drops would have actually been a good shout this winter). Have you tried any of these products? Or are any of them on your list too? I’d love to know what you’ve had your eye on lately in the comments.
Until tomorrow,
Sophie
Oh wow, love the times on your wish list! The Ren toner is also on mine too, heard so many good things so far. Great post!

Fantastic review! I think it’s a great post idea, to create a ‘wish-list’ instead of a review. It’s great to set targets on the products/ brands that you love. I love trying new skincare products, because sometimes, you just stumble across the perfect product for you.

Ooh I like the look (funky bottle) and sound of the REN daily tonic. I’ve used loads of different REN products before so I can imagine it’s just as good! xx.

I’ve heard so many good things about REN products, I need to try some out myself x
I was reading a post yesterday about REN products. I just love their packaging, so elegant and bright. I really enjoyed this post!

I’ve been looking to try out a mask to hydrate my skin – I also have dry skin too – and the Skyn Iceland one looks interesting to try out! My skincare routine kind of varies depending on the season but after reading a bit from a blogger who used Raw Honey as a cleanser I decided to try that out – raw honey isn’t sticky like regular honey, it has a thicker type of consistency – and it’s been perfect for my skin!
I like the sound the hydrating mask with vitamin C. It sounds so healthy and good for the skin! I really like the packaging too, so I’d probably buy it just based on that 🙂 Thanks for the skin care recommendations Sophie, great post! xx

I didn’t know cover fx did skincare!
I like the look of the mask too, I’d probably go for that. I have my eye on the new Origins Original Skin Primer – it claims to mattify your complexion through the day which would make it my holy grail product if it works. But as it’s Origins, even if it doesn’t, it will still be lovely so it’s staying in my shopping basket until payday! Lovely recommendations, Sophie, as always! x

I’d never heard of REN but the tonic sounds amazing, I definitely want to try it now!
I really want to try out more face masks and eyepads everyone seems to be using! x
I’ve heard amazing things about REN! You have to tell us what it’s like if you end up getting it! xx
I’m so incredibly out of touch with skin care as I haven’t heard of any of these! I don’t really have a skincare wish list; I just want to find something that works on my skin! xxx
I like the sound of the REN tonic ☺️ I think I could do with some of that in my life x
These products all look really good. I can see why they are on your wish list.
I love the sound of that hydrating mask! I really need something with vitamin c that won’t be too harsh on my face. Cover FX is def on my list of brands I have to try. I love that you ALWAYS have brands I’ve never heard of, like Farmacy. Thanks for the list!

These all look so good – and I’ve heard some good things about Cover FX!
I have just started to create my own skincare routine. I might keep these products in the back of my head! Lovely wishlist <3 They look really good, especially that mask ~
