I don’t know where March has gone. It only feels like last week that I was writing my February food favourites, I had to check the dates on my camera roll very closely this month to make sure I had actually tried the foods this month. Yes, I nearly added a couple of things from last month. And something I was sure I’d mentioned last month was actually for this month. Please tell me I’m not the only one with no sense of time these days? Anyway, these are my favourite vegan and gluten free foods I’ve tried in the last month (I think).
March Food Favourites
M&S Plant Kitchen Chocolate Hazelnut Spread

Erm. This is amazing? This one is quite interesting for me as I was never a huge fan of Nutella. I don’t know whether my taste buds have just changed, but you may have noticed I posted a few Nutella recipes this month featuring this stuff and I have a completely different outlook on the deliciousness of chocolate spread now.
Suggested Recipes:

Love, Corn Smoked BBQ

Now I’ve definitely tried these corn snacks before, I can’t remember which flavour it was, but I don’t remember particularly feeling one way or another about them. This flavour, however, I’m becoming somewhat addicted to. They’re a great snack when you want something a little salty but don’t feel like crisps, perfect for pouring into a little dish for a nibble/ bat snack kinda vibe. Also perfect for devouring a share bag in one go…
Peanut Butter Protein Powder

I’ve contemplated trying peanut protein powder more times than I can count but I’ve always wondered if it would be too sickly/ wouldn’t go well with enough things etc. But I needed some for a couple of recipe ideas I had, so decided to finally try a small bag. The mistake here was buying the small bag. As much I don’t think it can place vanilla in an average berry smoothie bowl, I’ve tried this in a few different breakfast recipes now and I’m sold. This flavour has quickly become a must have in my collection. Creamy, delicious, not too sweet. Obsessed.
Suggested Recipe: Creamy Peanut Breakfast Pot
Boundless seeds Cayenne & Rosemary

I randomly picked these up one day in frustration when I was in Sainsbury’s. This scene plays out quite frequently: girl with dietary requirements is shopping and wants a snack that’s fairly healthy. She looks. There are LOTS of crisps, a few chocolate bars, a tonne of stuff that’s only available in a large bag or multipacks. And there’s very little else in an individual serving that fits said dietary requirements that isn’t a pot of fruit or a nakd bar. Don’t get me wrong, I love fruit and almost every flavour of Nakd bars. But it gets you down when they’re consistently your only healthier options available. One day, I had the option of a Nakd bar or these seeds and they were delicious! Cayenne & Rosemary isn’t a combination I’d typically go for but they work so well together. I’ll definitely get these again if they’re available when I’m grumpy at the checkouts.
Have you tried any delicious new snacks this month? What were you March food favourites?
Until next time,
Sophie
I haven’t had any of these (or seen them in Canada FTM) but the protein powder particularly sounds amazing! I need to find one that I enjoy! Thanks for sharing.
Great post and some really good suggestions. I like the sound of the Boundless. I’ll definitely be giving them a try!

Everything here looks so good! The Hazelnut spread looks rich and delightful, the corn crunchees so full of flavor. I recently have been adding protein powder to my smoothies too and am in <3 with the subtle flavor it adds to the boost the fruity flavors. 🙂
Ooh, the Peanut Butter Protein powder looks exquisite!!
I wanna give it a try!

Ooh, an M&S Nutella alternative!
Your homemade Nutella cookies look absolutely fabulous, I really need to give this new spread a try! I especially love how this recipe requires such a small number ingredients!
that hazelnut spread looks amazing! I did Veganuary in January and found it amazing how much stuff is available now. My brother is also Gluten intolerant, and growing up we didn’t have half the stuff that supermarkets do now, it’s amazing how well catered for people’s needs are! xx

That hazelnut spread looks delicious! I’m not a huge nut person but don’t mind them in spreads. I also love the packaging on the Boundless bar – so pretty!
Oh. My. Gosh. Those corn BBQ snacks look like a bit of me! Where did you get them from?! Milli X – http://millidavison.co.uk/
