Confession time, there won’t actually be 5 ingredients in 5 recipes this month, because it’s strawberries and cream season over here and there’s only one in season ingredient on my radar for my July recipes. So, this month is all about strawberries. But July is a fantastic month for fresh produce in the UK and I didn’t want to miss the chance to share what’s in season in July.
As well as the strawberries, there are many other berries/ fruits in season too, so you can even make some strawberries and cream season recipes and swap the fruits for another berry if you want to make the most of what’s on offer this month.

Ingredients of the Month
Well, strawberries.
July Recipes of the Month
Some of the new recipes of the month use Urban Fruit gummy strawberries and although they do count as one of your five a day, I kinda feel like that’s cheating in terms of fresh produce so the list below contains some of my favourite strawberries and cream season recipes from years gone by alongside the new ones for this month.
Strawberry Milkshake
Deliciously creamy vegan milkshake recipe made with ice cream and fresh strawberries, topped with some soy whip.

Vegan Eton Mess
A British summertime classic with only a handful of ingredients and minimal required.

White Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Strawberries dipped in a vegan white chocolate and rolled in roasted chopped hazelnuts for a delicious crunch with every bite.

Vegan Strawberry Cream Puffs
Okay, there isn’t a huge amount of fresh fruit here, but it does include strawberry jam (see below) and some fresh strawberries.

Seedless Strawberry Jam
There’s no better time to make jam than when fruits are in season and are at their cheapest and you can make large batches for next to nothing.

Which dish are you most looking forward to trying?
Until next time,
Sophie
