The weather is warmer, nut butter is my ingredient of the month, and cookie dough is the best flavour of absolutely everything. I don’t know if the baked oats trend is officially over yet (I don’t think it is) but it’s definitely not on my agenda right now. I loved making cookie dough baked oats, so I decided to give cookie dough overnight oats a whirl.
We have oats (obviously) peanut butter protein, almond butter, greek style yoghurt and chocolate chips in this recipe to give it the perfect blend of protein and some healthy fat, and enough creaminess to make it feel like it’s a contender for a dessert too.
As with the majority of overnight recipes, this only takes two minutes to mix everything up and throw it in a jar then it’s ready to go the next morning, perfect for anyone who wants a quick and fuss free breakfast. Eat straight from the container it was in overnight, or transfer to a bowl and add some granola/ nuts or some fruit to serve.

You can also make this by blending the wet ingredients together with the protein powder first to make the texture as smooth as possible, but it’s still delicious either way. I like to at least blend my milk and protein together first because I’m not keen on the protein texture if it isn’t fully combined, but of that isn’t an issue for you, it can be prepped in less than 5 minutes.
Nutritional Information
Prepared with the protein powder, this recipe contains 23g of protein and 7g of fibre. The addition of the nut butter brings the vitamin E in this recipe to at least 27% of the RDA (there will also be done in the Greek style yoghurt, but I don’t have an exact amount for that). The total calcium for this recipe is also fairly high, with this recipe providing 271mg, which is just under 40% of the RDA (700mg in the UK). I used fortified dairy alternatives in mine, which also provided just under 40% of the RDA of B12.

Hi Sophie.
What an awesome idea! I love overnight oats (sad, I know!) and combining them with cookie dough seems like a match made in heaven. Right, I’m off to write a shopping list 🙂
This sounds like a delicious breakfast! I love cookie dough so I know I’d enjoy this. It’s always a bonus being able to just wake up in the morning and have breakfast all ready to be eaten. Having it with strawberries like you have in the picture sounds like a delicious idea too xx
