So, Christmas content is in full swing just about everywhere. I started posting on my Christmas Pinterest board early November, I’m seeing gift guides everywhere…the time to avoid it has (unfortunately) gone. Those of you who have been with me a while may remember that I did a little thing called 12 days of Vegmas last year.
Vegan + Christmas = Vegmas
When I got that idea, I wanted it to be as helpful as possible. I included some recipes, some tips on how to manage your first vegan Christmas, a list of my favourite CF/ vegan beauty brands for anyone shopping for a vegan. Useful information. (I’ll leave the most relevant ones linked at the bottom of this post)
Back when I first started thinking of my Christmas content this year, I debated whether to do Vegmas again. In reality, that isn’t a great idea. My tips on how to prep for your first vegan Christmas are the same. The list of beauty brands would be almost identical, and I have zero desire to churn out something I’ve already done and try to dress it up as something different.

Then, in a stroke of madness, I decided that I would do Vegmas again. Only this year, 12 days of Vegmas is going to consist of 12 days of vegan Christmas themed recipes. Some of them are Christmas themed snacks, some of them are recipes for Christmas dinner. I’ve already shared a couple of preview photos here and there, so some of you may have seen what’s to come on social media already. There’s a big chocolate orange theme this year…
Why November?
12 days of Vegmas is held the final 12 days of November, meaning this is my last post before Vegmas begins. I know this probably seems strange to some people. But, in my ‘how to survive your first vegan Christmas’ post from last year, I said my biggest tip is to make several dishes for the day itself in the weeks leading up to it so you know you’re going to enjoy your dishes when the day finally rolls around. And I’d be the biggest hypocrite if I said that then waited for December to begin to share my own recipes, wouldn’t I? So, Christmas comes early in this little corner of the internet.

Vegmas 2018 Posts
For anyone new here, here are some of my favourite Vegmas posts from last year that I think are the most relevant. If anyone is newly vegan, or hosting a vegan – please read the top one!
How to Survive Your First Vegan Christmas
Everything I did right (and wrong) in my first year, and how to deal with family members who ‘don’t get it’.
My Favourite CF & Vegan Beauty Brands
Pretty self explanatory, but if anyone is struggling with gift ideas…
Another one that’s helpful for anyone looking for gift ideas!

Do you have any vegans coming for Christmas this year, or plan on serving any vegan dishes?
Until Vegmas,
Sophie

Oooh looking forward to this. My mum is a part-time vegan, as is my boyfriend when we cook together. I’m mostly looking forward to trying some of your recipes for myself though! It’s my first vegan Christmas, so definitely need some good christmassy food ideas x
Great way to further incorporate being vegan into your life – great exampe for the rest of us as well!
What a great idea! I really like to buy vegan beauty products and just love the hamper!
So many dishes, like green beans and wild rice salad are naturally vegan. A little extra thought and mashed potatoes and stuffing can be as well.
Of course, I seem to be thinking more about Thanksgiving . . .
I love that you are spreading some awareness so people can think about their vegan friends foodwise!
I’ve been a vegetarian for over 10 years and tried veganism a few times. I really need to get back into it and put my all into it because, quite frankly, it’s not ethical for me to be eating dairy when I’m fully informed of what the dairy and meat industry is really like. Thank you so much for writing this post – I think it may have been the push I needed!
