2020 has been a weird one. We gift hampers a lot in our family, and we always build them ourselves to be individual for the recipient rather than buying pre-made ones. Even if they aren’t vegan, I like to include a large number of vegan items, maybe to encourage them to try something new, or simply to make them more eco-friendly. However, this post is strictly vegan. I know some people struggle with vegan Christmas hamper ideas. So, whether you have a vegan in your life, or someone attempting Veganuary in the new year, hopefully you’ll get a few ideas from this post.
Usually, the majority of the items are picked up around Christmas markets from smaller/ independent sellers. Obviously, I haven’t been strolling around any markets this year. So, I’ve made a real effort to gather items from smaller businesses for certain items in here such as candles rather than popping to somewhere like TK Maxx and stocking up. Some of these businesses are local to me, while others are smaller businesses from around the country that some of my Twitter followers recommended.
And there are a few bigger brands in here too. While it’s great to shop small and local, realistically I know many people still do a last minute dash, or forget that they didn’t buy vegan chocolate or *insert your own situation here*. So, there are some items that you can find in a supermarket as well.
Items marked with (*) have been gifted as PR samples, and/ or contain affiliate links.

Vegan Christmas Hamper Ideas
Drinks
Teas & Coffees*
You can gift a tea or coffee, or a subscription box to either. I mentioned Blue Coffee Box & Blue Tea Box in a post last month, but their flavour selection quiz/ process could be a great way to discover something new. And gifting a subscription could help the recipient find their favourite new blend, without the risk of buying them one they’re not as keen on.

Binary Botanical* (£1.79 per 250ml bottle)
I can’t remember the last time I was this intrigued by a product. It’s beer, gluten free and vegan beer, may I add, but it tastes like a crisp and fresh sparkling wine. Think prosecco, crossed with a little cider, but it’s… beer. The original is 4% but they also do a 0.5% version too, so everyone can enjoy even if you don’t drink, or are the designated driver for the evening.
You can shop directly with them, or doing your food shopping online with Ocado & they recently launched in select Sainsbury’s as well.

Chocolates
Okay, I like to make my own. I know that’s very food bloggery of me, but I bought some silicone Christmas molds* a couple of years ago that are perfect for this. And you can make individual flavours for specific people if you really want to make it personal.
Last year I made several batches of these orange, cranberry, and pistachio chocolates and popped them into little glass jars for people.

However, if you don’t want to make your own (try it, it’s fun), you can find lots of options on The Vegan Kind Supermarket. I’m a big fan of the Coco Libre Chocolate Orange Santas…
Or you can easily pick up items like Nomo Caramel boxes or Moo Free Santas (available in white & milk) in most supermarkets. I threw a few Nomo caramels loose in each of my hampers this year as a little surprise tucked into the shredded paper.

Snacks
I love finding new vegan & gluten free snacks. And as we’re likely to be celebrating with less of us this year, it’s a great time to try smaller snacks rather than instantly gravitating towards the share size options. And hampers are a great way to gift a few smaller options, or a couple of flavours of something rather than a bigger box/ bag.

These snacks are little puffed balls made from lotus seeds, but don’t let the seeds put you off if you’re pulling a face right now. I love the texture of these, and the smoked chilli ones taste absolutely incredible.
These crackers are perfect for Christmas time, light snack for those days in-between? Random snack bowls around the room/ table? The flavours are interesting, and likely something you won’t have had before in a cracker so you could be introducing someone to their new favourite. With three savoury and two sweet flavours, and all of them free from the top 14 allergens, I’m sure there’s one for everyone.

Preserves
This is something I get from a Christmas market every year without fail, so it was very important to me that this came from a smaller business.
The one featured is the Strawberry & Gin Jam (£4) from The Cornish Larder, who also have several other alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

Home & Lifestyle
Candles
Once again, candles and wax melts are something I normally pick up from a market, so wanted to feature somewhere small.
The handmade jars are from The Plant Workshop (£8), which are local to me. They’re also available in a larger 3 wick option. Unfortunately, these guys only hand deliver to postcodes local to one of their three branches, so these candles may not be available in your area. But there are plenty of other options for shopping small for candles or wax melts.

Sanitiser*
Yes, the most 2020 item in here. And I know this is last on the list, but I suggest placing this on the top as the first thing they see when they open it.
Nilaqua Hand Sanitiser Plus (£19.96 for 5 100ml bottles) is not only vegan but alcohol free and NHS approved. It comes in a larger bottle than the mini handbag sized ones you typically carry around, so it would be great for your home or to keep in your car. The thing I love the most about this product is that it comes in a spray bottle rather than a squeeze, and it feels like water on your skin. No residue, no scent, no stickiness, no alcohol, so not at all drying.

Are you a fan of giving/ receiving hampers? I hope you managed to get some vegan ideas from this post. Which item appeals to you the most?
Until tomorrow,
Sophie
the sanitiser looks like a must-have to include in a hamper this year, haha! 🙂 I like the DIY chocolate idea too! Last year we tried making chocolate Christmas trees, it did not work out as well as expected but we had fun eating the mess that was produced anyway, haha! 🙂
Hope you are having a great weekend 🙂 We went out and did more Christmas shopping yesterday which was fun 🙂
Omg I need all of these 😛 Also, my sister is vegan so I’m sure she would love to receive some, thanks for the tips <3

These are all great ideas! I especially love getting chocolates and candles.
I recently got a moo free selection pack which actually had the ones you featured here and they were amazing! The drinks sounds so good too! Xx
You got an amazing basket of vegan treats! I love how you even make your own chocolates!
My family doesn’t celebrate Christmas because we follow a different faith, but I love the idea of hampers! They can be so useful and can include multiple things. I’d love to be gifted a hamper with the items you suggested haha. Thanks for this idea, I might just do this randomly or for a birthday gift or something.

That moo-free white snowman sounds right up my street omg I need it! xx
The Moo Free chocolates are the best, but so hard to find here in the US! They really do have the best holiday stuff though. Great post as always!
These are some excellent gift ideas for Christmas!
I love the idea of creating your own hamper for someone, it’s such a lovely personal gift especially when you create the hamper yourself. I am very interested in that vegan beer though!! I also love that you included sanitiser haha. I am making my mum a stocking this year so I feel like hand sanitiser is definitely going to be included. Thanks for sharing these great ideas! xx
