So today we’re trying to make kid friendly food that’s actually really healthy, and we’re making it in the form of cauliflower dippers. If cauliflower can be pizza, it can be anything, right? This cauliflower dippers recipe is really easy and fairly quick, so it’s good for anyone as long as you have a food processor. Fun fact: I don’t know what day it is right now, but this is the first recipe a day May that I’m writing up this year, so thanks for joining me again. I know for a fact that this will not be day one so that sentence was redundant, BUT STILL.
Vegan Cauliflower Dippers Recipe
Cauliflower is really bland, I know that doesn’t sound like a positive, but that’s why I love it. You can make it whatever you want and it takes flavour really well. These dippers are very simple, garlic and ever so lightly spiced, but they can be seasoned however you’d like to your preferences.

Nutrition
I’ve used lentil flour to add some extra protein to this recipe and make it more substantial. The flax seed is giving us some omega 3 and the cauliflower itself is high in vitamins C, K, B5, and B6.
This recipe is dairy free, gluten free, soy free, nut free and vegan.

Vegan Cauliflower Dippers Recipe (GF)
A vegan and gluten free cauliflower dippers recipe. Child friendly and great for adults too. Easily adaptable to suit your flavour preferences.
Ingredients
- Half a head of cauliflower
- ¼ cup lentil flour
- 1 tbsp arrowroot
- 1 flax egg
- Pinch of chilli powder
- ½ tsp garlic pepper
- ½ onion optional
- Olive oil for baking optional
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 190c. Line baking sheet with greaseproof paper. Brush greaseproof paper lightly with oil or lightly spray with fry spray.
-
Process cauliflower and onion (if using) in a food processor. Transfer cauliflower rice mixture into a large bowl.
-
Add lentil flour, arrowroot starch, garlic pepper, flax egg and chilli powder and stir to combine.
-
Divide batter into 6 equal portions, shape into nugget shapes. They should be tightly packed and not crumbly.
-
Place patties on prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway.
Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
The cauliflower needs a certain level of moisture to hold shape, if for any reason yours feel dry, add water a tbsp at a time until they reach the desired texture.

Can you see these being added to your next dipping platter? They work perfectly on a buffet table or barbecue season. Let me know what your favourite dip to serve them with would be!
Until tomorrow,
Sophie

This is definitely a kid-friendly food! I love that these cauliflower dippers are easy to make and they’re on the healthier side. I prefer this over mozzarella cheese, to be honest. Big plus on the vitamins! Wow, the prep time is so short! This is perfect for an appetizer for a get together. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Wow. I never would have thought of doing something this inventive with cauliflower but it sounds awesome! We were commenting last night that cauliflower can be really boring – this is definitely something I’ll have to throw out there and give a go. Great post – I’m really intrigued now what these taste like!
This is a very interesting recipe but probably not something I’d make for myself. It would be perfect for kids snacks though or, if they’re good cold, could be popped in a lunch box too. Great recipe.
I’m not really a fan of cauliflower but I might give it a go anyway x

Honestly this sounds so intriguing. I’ve never really thought about how bland cauliflower is until you’ve mentioned it and how versatile it is and could be! This recipe is for sure something I’d love to try out. All I can think about looking at them is how much I’d love to dip them in hummus or tzatziki…

I eat quite a bit of cauliflower, I totally get that it can be quite bland but I just really enjoy it for some reason! I like the sound of these dippers though, I’ve also had cauliflower pizza before and absolutely loved it. It’s crazy sometimes how many recipes you can make with certain foods!
