Nutritional Information
This recipe contains 256 calories, 9g of fibre and 10g of protein. Each serving contains your full RDA of vitamin C, a quarter of your daily folate, 20% of your daily B2 and B12 (assuming you opt for fortified dairy alternatives). Using fortified dairy alternatives will also give you 40% of your daily calcium.
Ingredient Choices and Substitutions
This recipe doesn’t include a protein source, which is very rare for my typical smoothie recipes. But if you want to serve this dish as a more balanced grab and go breakfast, add a scoop of vanilla protein and an extra quarter cup of non-dairy milk.
The frozen mango/ pineapple mentioned in the recipe is mainly used for the texture of the smoothie than the actual flavour it gives. I listed mango and pineapple as they’re both in season right now. You can use one fruit or something like a tropical smoothie mix.
How to store and does it keep?
You can store this smoothie recipe in a sealed container in the fridge for a few hours/ the rest of the day, but drink up on the day you make it for the best texture and consistency. Shake well before serving if you do store some in the fridge for later.

Orange & Passionfruit Breakfast Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
- 100 g frozen mango/ pineapple see ingredient choices
- 1 large orange peeled and pips removed
- 1 passionfruit
- ½ cup Greek style yoghurt
- ½ cup non-dairy milk of your choice
Instructions
-
Add all ingredients other than the passionfruit to a blender and blend until smooth. You should get a thick and creamy liquid, but definitely a pourable/ drinkable texture, not a smoothie bowl.
-
Transfer liquid to your glass/ jar then add the passionfruit and lightly stir it in.
Serve and enjoy!
Until next time,
