For years now, I’ve been doing this little thing I call me vs you. I look at my most viewed recipes over a particular time frame (either the end of the year, or the end of Recipe A Day May, usually) and compare the ones I’ve loved making the most with the ones with the most views, and this post is inspired by that, but we’re doing things a little differently. I’m not commenting on my favourites at all, I’m rating my most viewed recipes.
There’s over five years’ worth of food content on here now, and of course, over time your palette changes a little, and how you would approach a certain recipe idea may change over time too. So, I’m looking at my all time most viewed recipes and rating them based on how much I liked them originally, whether I’d still make them like that today, and whether I think it’s a great post in general.
Rating My Most Viewed Recipes
5. Seedless Strawberry Jam
Jam is delicious. Strawberry is a classic flavour. It’s a simple recipe, but it’s for a very simple/ easy food. Nothing to change here. 10/10.

4. High Protein Vegan Stir Fry – No Tofu
High protein and vegan, stir fries are easy to make. The vast majority do contain tofu. I don’t know how to rate this one because it’s so simple. But I guess simplicity is why it’s popular. I make this/ a similar version of this very often, so I guess that means it’s worthy of a decent rating. If I were to post this recipe again now, it probably wouldn’t look that different. 8/10.

3. Vegan Biscoff Milkshake
Well, I wasn’t always gluten intolerant so reacting to this one hurts a little because I’d kill for some Biscoff in my life these days. Anything Biscoff. As far as this milkshake goes, it was great at the time, but I’d have far more options in terms of dairy alternatives at my disposal now. 7/10.

2. Brownie Batter Baked Oats
Thank you, TikTok. When the baked oats trend was at its peak, this post alone was about 70% of my daily traffic. And I wouldn’t change a thing. They’re great. I’m not a huge fan of when people blend their oats before making baked oats, so you essentially end up with something that resembles a healthy cake recipe. As a result, my recipe won’t be the one for everyone, but taste wise, I’m very happy. 9/10.

1. Graze Inspired Cacao Flapjack Bites
I obviously understand why this is my most viewed, Graze is a very popular brand, so DIY recipes are going to gain a lot of traffic, but I need to make this again for several reasons. This recipe was one of the first I ever posted. The photos are less than fantastic, and the number of dairy alternatives and protein options has increased so much since I made these, I could definitely make a better version of these now. It was a good idea, and they do taste good, but I can do better. 6/10.

Have you tried any of these recipes?
Until tomorrow,
Sophie
