There are so many delicious ingredients coming into season in September that it was so hard to choose my 5 ingredients, 5 recipes list this month. September sees the start of the autumnal vegetables emerging (a lot come into season next month) and the fruits switch from berries to plums, apples, and pears, and there are some delicious greens too. All in, it’s an amazing month for fresh produce.
This month I really had to resist the urge to go full autumn mode and choose pumpkins and butternut squash (that’s October chosen already) and went for transitional staples, like potatoes and some autumnal fruits like apples and plums that work well with autumnal spices.
5 Ingredients of the Month
