Most viewed…and the five I enjoyed writing the most.
Hi everyone, to celebrate the end of the year I thought it might be fun to look over my most viewed posts of the year, which is cheating a little because I’ve only been doing this for a few months. Then I thought that might be dull for those of you who are regular readers so I decided to switch it up a little. We’re going to compare your favourites (my most viewed posts) to mine, the ones I enjoyed writing the most with a few added anecdotes along the way.
This way we can see if we’re on the same page and you might discover something you missed too. In looking at my stats for this post I realised something about you guys, you’re foodies. I appreciate that about you. Although looking at this I am concerned that producing this blog is going to have a very negative effect on my waistline*.

Your Top Posts:
This really took me by surprise. I honestly wasn’t sure how this would go down. I needed a post to go up and I had bananas I had to cook with anyway, so I thought I’d make it a post, no planning involved and no real thought. Turns out you guys like simple. It went down really well, this was actually my first post to hit 100 views within the same week it was posted.
This was an experiment for me, totally wasn’t sure if this would work but given that they consist of applesauce and cinnamon I thought they were seasonally appropriate, so I had my camera ready just in case.
This was my first proper recipe post and I was so excited to publish it and see that food would go down as well as (well better actually) the beauty stuff. These were my most viewed post for about a month after I posted them.
These are a little different so I wasn’t sure how they’d go down but most people like doughnuts and most people like muffins so they turned out pretty well. This was such a fun recipe to make, everything looks way more appetising when it’s mini. Fact.
As we’ve done the top four and they’re all food related posts it’s finally time for a skincare one:
I think this post went down well purely because it was well timed with the declining temperature in England, that and people seemed to appreciate the table I threw in at the bottom to make telling the difference a little easier. For all I talk about skincare a lot, I tend to talk about products rather than routines, so this post was a little different for me.
So there we have it! My top 5 most viewed posts in 2017. Was your favourite post on the list? Now time for the ones I enjoyed the most:
I was really excited to post my first recipe. Like, really really really excited, this was also a new recipe I’d just developed so that added to my excitement posting it. I believe this post is going up Boxing Day and if that’s correct, my family will be eating these right now as you’re reading this. They went down just as well at home as they did online…
Save, Spend, Splurge
No particular edition of Save, Spend, Splurge but hydrating serums was my first one so I guess that one. I was so happy when I thought of this concept. I loved the idea of talking about products I was passionate about and being able to provide a price point for everyone, so no one would be left out when I was talking about them. These posts usually do well, there’s currently two editions of this series in my top 10 most viewed posts so I’m happy you enjoy them. I ALWAYS look forward to writing these.
I love granola and my first batch of this stuff is basically symbolic of me welcoming Christmas into my home so this one was more of a symbolic gesture for me rather than enjoyment of the specific post writing. Although I do really love this granola.
My first post, I don’t think I need to explain why I enjoyed writing this one, this is also one of my most popular posts (around 9th or 10th) which I think is pretty good for my first post. If you look back, you’ll find stuff earlier than that. Let me tell you a little secret, I actually started this blog nearly a year ago, but I was constantly taking it offline and redesigning it then deleting posts and being too much of a perfectionist about everything. Anything dated August or Early September could have been written at various points this year, but this post was the one that made me stick at it. Yay for Fenty.
My second recipe post, still really excited about posting recipe posts. And I mean look at them, if you do a recipe post on something you have to eat it afterwards. Who wouldn’t be excited about eating those?!
*I’m writing the intro to this a little in advance, by the time you read this there’s a very real chance Christmas will have already done that.
